And then there were three

And then there were three. Well, five really. It’s been a while since I’ve written. And I’m feeling the need to get back into it. Not so much to share all the amazing things I’m up to, or because anything earth-shatteringly grand is going on over here. But because I find I remember more when it’s written down. And I know mostly its just going to be my family reading this, so I’d like to share these everyday memories, ideas and stories with them [you].

Back to the three, no five. I stopped writing around the time when things got, well, hard. I’ve had three pregnancies in the lapse of writing. Two of my babies were born into heaven. I will share these experiences another time, at the right time. But the third is sleeping almost peacefully wrapped snugly in my Boba wrap as I type this. Baby T was born January 3 of this year weighing in at a whopping 6 lb 14 oz. His life is precious, his person is precious, he truly is a gift to us and we love him dearly. Each day his personality shines through a little more. He squeals with his siblings and can get around purposefully, though not in a straight-forward trajectory!

Big sis and brother are growing and growing. We’re homeschooling now. It’s Kindergarten, not rocket science! Two weeks in and we’re still having fun. So far, so good!

And our little domestic church truly is a school of love. Our Visitation Home Shrine continues to be a place where we offer our struggles and our joys; our songs of thanksgiving and our hymns of praise. Here we find plentiful opportunities to learn to live in self-giving love and humility  as parent, spouse, son, daughter, sibling and neighbor. And these are the things I hope to write on. Mostly mundane, hopefully sometimes inspired, maybe a little silly. We’ll see

Until next time…
