Lenten Home: WIP

Coming on to post a quick photo update on how Lent is coming together visually in our home. When I posted Tuesday I had the box of supplies out, but hadn’t put anything up yet. Here’s what it looks like so far!

Missing a few candles on the cross, but we can at least get through the first three weeks. The owie crown was printed at the office supply store for about a buck on ledger paper. I cut out the two strips, matched them up and trimmed them to size. Then I glued them together with some school glue. With five offering sacrifices this year, the thorns will quickly fill up! You can download the .pdf from the previous post!

Missing candles is the theme right now. We were out of tea lights. But the stations are up!

Also, a friend sent me this calendar from Ponder in my Heart which is beautifully illustrated. Check it out if you haven’t printed one out yet!

Little Miss and Jstar were discussing how they wished they could watch a certain video yesterday. Little Miss to Jstar, “I know. But six weeks isn’t that long! It’ll go by fast.” Adventures of Lenten sacrifices with the 8 and 6 year olds.

May your Lenten devotions bring you closer to Our Lord!
