Today I’m trying the {pretty, happy, funny, real} link up with Like Mother Like Daughter for the first time…capturing contentment in this week of ups and downs. Mostly from yesterday, because that’s when I remembered to take pictures!

{Pretty}

What happens in our house when…we run out of oatmeal and grocery cash? I go into crazy baker mode. What can we have for breakfast? What ingredients do I have? What will make these next four days fun and challenging? Bagels. Duh.

I love how bread dough looks when it’s risen and fluffy and looks a little bit like brain.

And then oh! The soft crumbly interior smeared with homemade strawberry jam. It’s like eye candy.

This was my first attempt at bagels. Better than grocery store, not as good as bagel shop. But made for a fun tasty breakfast!

Happy Birthday Blessed Mother! Happy half-birthday Sister Bear! We celebrated with a Mother Mary Cake (M&M chocolate chip cookie cake). Aaaaand that was Monday…
